I
am privileged to serve as the Health Commissioner for the Ashtabula City
Health Department. I find the job very rewarding and
challenging. I am a Registered Nurse and was educated at Saint
Elizabeth School of Nursing and Youngstown State University.
In this part-time position, my duty is to direct and supervise the staff
of the department. I am the Secretary and Executive Officer of
the Board of Health and report directly to the Board. Some
examples of my various responsibilities include; promoting public health
education, developing and managing an annual budget for the department,
and recruiting and training employees.
My
family and I relocated to Ashtabula County five years ago. My
husband, Terry, is originally from Kingsville and I'm from the Canfield
area so we are pleased to be closer to home. We are the
parents of two great kids, Alyssa (15) and Jacob (10). We've
found Ashtabula County to be a wonderful place to live and raise our
family.
In
my free time I stay very active with my family. We enjoy activities
with our church, sports, travel and watching movies together.
Personally I love to go antiquing and craft shopping! I also enjoy reading,
decorating, music, walking and aerobics.
