I am a widow with four sons, John, Tim, Dan and James.  I have 17 years in banking, retiring from KeyBank.  I am very active in my church, Bethany Lutheran, where I serve on the Finance Committee, Staff Support, Director of Reader's Theatre, usher and lector.  I am Vice-President on the Homesafe Board for Domestic Violence.  I am past President of Laureate Beta Upsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and have also served as treasurer and vice president.  I am a Realtor with Box Real Estate. My son, Dr. James Kist and his wife, Dr. Tara Oakey-Kist, returned to our city to open Kist Chiropractic and Wellness Clinic.  They have been very well received and feel they made a wise choice returning. I value my position on the Council because I feel I can and have made a difference while representing Ward 3 and the Ashtabula community, on the whole. I take my duties and responsibilities as a member of the City Council, very seriously and want the public to know, “they do matter”.
