2026 Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Ashtabula is embarking on a public engagement process to gather community input for the development of a city-wide Comprehensive Plan. The Plan will be used to guide future policy decisions and development over the next 10 to 15 years. Community meetings as well as online surveys have been collected to help guide the Steering Committee.

The City of Ashtabula and the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee have developed draft recommendations for the 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update. The City's Planning Commission has recommended the draft be reviewed and adopted by City Council. There will be two readings of the ordinance to adopt the 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update, with the second reading scheduled to take place at the September 21, 2026 meeting of Council.
